...considering the possibilities:

might be the wrong redhead - if so, she could easily be more trouble than her
price is worth

Kit is maybe not Zaharoff, but maybe not somebody they want to annoy
(unknown quantity)

also, wasn't the reason Murder on the Orient Express would be a novel topic
that it was fairly unusual - that is, Interpol may not have been created yet,
but train troubles could cause international incidents?

Crouchmas' voucher might not have been entirely trustworthy
to these fellows either  (if he would shop his ladyfriend, who's to say
if they could trust him)

What I didn't find in the text is "where is he when he sends
word to Dally to meet him in Constantinople?"  Wasn't he
just outside the money-house with the detectives?
I guess some time had passed and he'd gone off without her.
