Yeah, but there were a *lot* of strong supporters of Hammett here.
Where'd they go?!
I enjoyed The Maltese Falcon, but I'd seen the film - and Bogart -
before I read it, so.... I loved 'Red Harvest' too, but as you say
Chandler is richer. basically, I think Chandler is *much* more
literary.
I *still* haven't got round to MacDonald, though I have now located my
copy of 'The Blue Hammer'. Oh for more reading time...
