the LSD and I'm sticking to it.

Stick away. Was Strawberry Fields Forever inspired by LSD trips?
Undoubtedly, at least in part. Probably more fuelled by (a) nostalgia
and (b) Lennon's complex personality, than by drugs. But drugs played
a part. Lennon was taking LSD around that time. Again I say, this
falls into the category labelled, 'Yes, yes'.

All I am say-ing, is give me a chance.... all I am saying is that
Lennon wasn't tripping whilst recording the song. Whether Pynchon was
tripping while he wrote some passages of GR, that is speculation.
Whether Lennon was tripping whilst recording SFF, that is not
speculation, that is known. The answer is no.

biographies one chooses to believe

That's shit, sorry. You are, as usual, speculating and making
assumptions, but in this case there is no need to speculate, there's
plenty of documentation, from Lennon and others, to refute what you
are saying.

I'm not sure how this all got started. There really is nothing to
argue about. Both Lennon and Pynchon took LSD, this inspired them and
influenced their work. Lennon was not on LSD whilst recording SFF (or
any other Beatles track). That's fact. With Pynchon we must speculate.
I dispute teh idea that GR could be written whilst tripping. As the
saying goes, 'try it some time'. (There's a reference for you to
scuttle off after, Robin.)

Enough.
