Pynchon in Popular Music

Hoy! Hoy!
         And let us not forget Pat Benatar's rather unheralded CD effort 
entitled "Gravity's Rainbow".   Somehow, I suspect that her exceptional 
guitar player/ husband Neal Giraldo might be the actual Pynchon fan, 
but from what I understand, Pat Benatar has quite a well-cultured 
upbringing as well; on Long Island, if I am not mistaken.  One must 
always suspect that these Long Islanders will try and stick together 
and support one another whenever possible.  I doubt that the naming of 
that disc is simply a coincidence.
