...ok, so I actually would read a novel about postmodernism and theories of
social control, but I would hope that it would be overtly about them and still
have characters that were representations of beings recognizable as people
the descriptions of whose doings could inspire not just pity and terror but
whatever Aristotle determined as the necessary components of comedy in
that book that got burned up in The Name of the Rose...
