Remember the experts Lew went to? P. 37: "Past lives", some assured him. "Future lives." said other confident swamis. "Spontaneous Hallucination,"--[I love this one; what other kind of hallucination is there? LOL Psychobabble] diagnosed the more scientific among them. "Perhaps," one beaming Oriental suggested, "it was hallucinating you."...
As he has done before, Pynchon is indicting Us,-- me....for all the interpreting?
As well as having Lew brush these off to show his pragmatic 'reality' here?
