Subject: The Wreckignitions Read. Which one is not like the other ones
I feel i must be extra careful to name-check other listers who
cued me in on something first, that is ORIGINALLY, so to speak,
so as not to be as fully fraudulent as I am............but it produces
longer posts
so to Erik and Jed who agreed --I think Erik actually wrote it
first that the first chapter took 'getting through" and as I read
ahead this beautiful weekend, I noticed the next two chapters
mostly of conversation----reminding me verily of the J.R. I read
INTO but it would on this list----were quite different in that regard
as if the first chapter is a backstory and depth-of-some-themes
kind of prologue....then ....I am sourcing wikipedia which, of course,
being a reference work allows nothing ORIGINAL, I learned that
Gaddis did not seem to be clued into The Golden Bough and read
it until 1948, the year he sorta had a version of this novel kinda
finished so I suggest
The first chapter, with all those tree boughs lying in the forest
of the text was one of the last written......................
