I keep thinking crepe like pancake, but that's besides the point --
alice I'm sure would agree there is no textual or intertextual or even
extra-textual reason to impute a connection to the banana breakfast

It does seem however to be an instance of uniform fetishism, if one
were collecting references to that sort of thing, eh?
