Y'll remember that joke in Bleeding Edge when Maxine talks to what's-her-name
with the chipmunk voice? ...
 
I haven't thought of THAT since the long-ago song,  yet yesterday, on NPR, Robert Siegel
had a fun, spontaneously-infested (by Helena)  interview with Helena Bonham-Carter (who plays Liz Taylor in new TV movie)
in which she, talking about herself in younger roles, such as in her first movie, used this joke......."
"I sound like one of the chipmunks..."
---"Robert, has your voice gotten lower?".....and I think she went "Al...vinnn!..."
 
She is married to Tim Burton, as I had forgotten and is a witty woman herself per that show....as quick w comebacks as Maxine at times.
 
TRP found another bit of 'pop' culture that has lasted...and with new meanings. 
I ask you, can Franzen do that?
