Pynchon Experience

Had a cool P experience today. I have a legal situation involving my house
which has been going on for a while now, from which I'll spare the details.
My lawyer is a very cool guy, who has actually written a novel himself and
is working on a second.

When I called today just to check in and see what's going on, his secretary
asked me to hold on cuz Brian wanted to talk to me.

When he came on the line, he said he just wanted to thank me for turning
him on to GR, which he was about 300 pages into! (Last time I saw him
several months ago, we had a long talk about books, and I recommended GR).
He was very enthusiastic, saying he never read anything like it, and was
almost ashamed that he had never heard of Mr. P before. We talked about it
for about 15 minutes. He was talking to all of his friends about it, and
looking forward to reading more.

Cool.
