NP -- Tom McCarthy, "the real" and disaffected young men

Though a few days old, now, a great ( and long ) piece in The Nation about the work of Tom McCarthy:

Whether you have read him or not, and whether you have interest in him or not, the piece is worth while for it's ruminations on art, individuality, memory, reality and one's access to it, and relationships. 

Read it to the end. I figure some, here--lookin' at you, Mark--may want to ponder it alongside a shift that has occurred in Pynchon's writing over time.
