Shirley Hazzard dies

Shirley Hazzard, the Australian-American author, has died. Sad - if you haven’t read anything by her I recommend Transit of Venus (1980) or The Great Fire (2003) - both super award-winners. Her earlier Bay of Noon was short-listed for the Booker Prize in 1970 .
