Much more interesting than cheap perfume, which some anecdotes can remind of. 

Terry McMillan's self-marketing, which white publishing was nowhere close to, WORKED like publishing couldn't believe. She also sent thank-you notes, an unforgettable way to be remembered for the next book. 

Thanks for this. Time for the whole book? Dunno.
