have we, anyone, ever annotated the closing poem?
Hand---like God's on the Sistine Chapel. Hand of God--colloquial use.
Light = God, Jesus Christ (famously in John's Gospel but elsewhere)
Towers--below is a later (than supposed time of the text) example of towers
in history. Towers being churches or
military most everywhere.

And a Soul in ev’ry stone. . . .
I assume the "Glass" means hourglass, is that correct?
Also, is the "Hand" the Hand of God? And what exactly is the sense of
"Though" here?
