GR translation: nags him on stumbling as badly as 20 years ago

Mondaugen's story in V is set in 1922, 20 years before, so the pattern Weismann feels emerging in 1942 are nagging at him in the same way as the significance he grasped for in Mondaugen's work in SW Africa.
