AtD translation: invested in, invested by

I don't know about the 5th meaning of the OED. You can be invested by time
in other ways, don't have to be surrounded by it. Some words are invested
by time with additional meaning, as we all know.

Are we moving through time or is time moving through – and around – us? Is
Time the besieger or the besieged? Or both?

By the way: if you look it up, the "siegecraft of time" in the world wide
web, you'll find not much more than the ATD quote.
