BEg2 correction - the Colonel is in ch22 not 21

Previous msg was from ch 22, not 21 - 21 was mostly Conkling Speedwell
related.

22 featured the Colonel - Eric was Maxine’s Virgil & I think the Colonel is
a tutelary spirit of the 9th Circle - treachery - what worse treachery than
time travel to undo the consensus of history?

Usually Maxine hangs out her shingle in the 8th Circle (though currently
banned from the - pretty confident it’s fictional - ACFE tavern they call
The 8th Circle) - which contains Fraud.

She probably ought to fill out those reinstatement forms sometime soon!
One hopes these adventures will scare her straight - her peccadilloes as
she thinks of them with Joel Wiener are themselves a form of treachery:
she’s betrayed her oath to ACFE.
