GR translation: Each plot carries its signature.

I think you are basically  correct in understanding the grammatical intention.. But the thing is Oneirine really  is an it;  it’s a drug, no?*  It’s a drug with distinctive effects. So the plots can in fact carry that signature and Pynchon goes to some efforts to describe the effects, signature, of Oneirine..  The idea of  God’s plots and God’s forgeries gets funny and weird, but classic Pynchon. It may be a way of describing a difference in a benign ‘entheogenic' substance somewhat comparable to divine vision, and a dangerous  substance like Imipolex G, heroin etc. 

On the other hand the plot is best seen as just the way, the route, the turn of events by which  she found a connection to Oneirine when she couldn’t get  her laudanum/cannabis mix, and that to see it as divine plan is insane and she clearly is a basket case. If I had to choose a clear translation that is how I would go.
