Speaking of Webley Silvernail...When I read GR I got an uncanny 
_frisson_ at that name, 'cuz when I was in highschool in Northern Cal 
in the late fifties I had a good friend named Wesley Silverthorne. I 
was certain that TRP had lifted that name! How bout that?
