GRGR(6): English Candy & American Root Beer

I once saw a Japanese exchange student almost throw up after taking the 
smallest of nibbles from her first, and undoubtedly last, root beer 
popsicle.  And in regards to Mark's tuna reference: I once knew a little 
girl who refused to eat tuna fish because of the picture on the label.  She 
thought it was canned mermaid.  I had a similar aversion to kidney beans as 
a child.

There's just no accounting for taste.  Some people don't like Hannibal, 
some don't like Gravity's Rainbow, though each has some pretty disgusting 
eating episodes.
