I wasn't questioning your info, just hungry for details.How anybody expected ATD to 'earn big' is beyond me. In today's society? With no fucking marketing? Like, say what?

I knew what 'earn out' means :-)I just don't get the dynamic - they (They) paid TRP 'a lot' for this big book he'd been working on for a long time. Then they fucked up the marketing of it. Yeah, they were hampered to an extent by ol' Tom's publicity phobia. BUt there musta been something(s) they coulda shoulda done.ATD will be reappraised (upwards) in years to come, and the big-ticket critics who slated it will be reassessed (downwards).Ah well. Money.
