IVIV (13) scene four synopsis

Scene 4: This is the major chunk of this chapter, Doc and Trillium's  
escapade in Las Vegas (part one anyway.)

After a quick airplane ride the adventure begins with Doc purchasing a  
Wyatt Earp mustache cup and one of Liberace's sequined neckties from  
Puck & Einar's heretofore downstairs landlord. Doc finds out he is  
treading a path already traversed by the FBI. His prey are long-gone  
from that former residence but Doc gets a lead on possible late-night  
haunts.

And he gets the history of Trillium and Puck's romance firsthand and  
some of Puck and Einar's saga secondhand. At haunt #1 Curly's he hears  
about their recent Vegas hustles from a geezer named Ev.

At haunt #2 The Nine of Diamonds there's a lot more local color, some  
music, and then Doc spots Puck & Einar mid-scam. It pays off too well  
for them, although Tito & Doc end up with both pots of dough amidst  
the high jinx. When Trillium, having disappeared, reappears it is with  
the news that she's already seen Puck having had his current phone  
number all along.

And we end with Doc set up to rendezvous at haunt #3 The Kismet  
Lounge, north of Vegas.
